The Solingen 5/8" hollow-ground blade is a masterpiece of Solingen grinding craftsmanship. The elegant handle also serves as a holder for the sharp blade. Shaving with a well-maintained, traditional razor is the most thorough of all shaves. 
The handle of the brush fits particularly well in the hand when applying the foam. The luxurious silver-tipped badger hair of the shaving brush provides ideal lather formation and pleasant softness when whipping and applying the shaving foam. With good care, shaving brushes made of luxurious silver-tipped badger hair are particularly notable for their remarkable durability.

Application: As a beginner to traditional wet shaving, start with the smooth areas of your face.  Before shaving, make sure that the blade is in good condition. When shaving, hold the razor at a flat angle of 30° to the skin and glide it over the skin without applying pressure. Make sure that the skin is sufficiently taut, especially on the neck. The first shave should always be in the direction of beard growth, the second shave can be against the direction of beard growth or, for sensitive skin, at an angle to the direction of beard growth.
After each shave, the blade should be dried thoroughly and stored in the bowl.
We recommend a leather strop for resharpening the hollow-ground blade.
