A genuine classic made of a genuine classic material: the most popular Mühle R 89 razor is now also available in 925 silver. The razor with its finely chiselled handle weighs precisely 97 grams. Moreover, the new version of the R 89 is a tribute to MÜHLE’s home region. After all, what would the Ore Mountains be today without the first discoveries of silver made over 800 years ago or the region’s mining tradition? Since ancient times, people have been fascinated by this material, which was thought to have healing properties as far back as in antiquity.

And it delights not only thieving magpies. Created in collaboration with the jewellery and silverware manufactory Andreas Daub from Pforzheim, which was established in 1872, the R 89 combines perfect design, absolute precision and a long-lasting shave. With its warm, incomparable shine, the silver safety razor is the bee’s knees of the bathroom – especially since its engraved serial number indicates that it’s part of the limited edition.

Even if the open blade does demand a little respect at first: After a brief familiarisation period, and guided by a steady hand, it produces a very close shave and a lasting result. Unlike modern blade systems, the head of the safety razor does not move. The blades are replaced by unscrewing the cap. They can be purchased from us and by retailers everywhere.
